"On The Inside" by Gracie Sales

Here's a glimpse of what it's like to be on the inside of one of our 5 little birth cubicles. Crowded. Strange noises and smells filling the humid air while the curtains that separate each cubicle are blown around by electric fans. The small birth cart pushed over to one corner and stocked with baby blankets, cord clamps, extra gloves, a bulb syringe, a deep suction machine, and a resuscitation board for those births that don't go so smoothly. BUT what you can't see or understand by this picture is the hearts involved. Each mother coming from a different past and each midwife filled with her own expectations and experiences. What you can't see by this picture is God's hand matching each team of midwives to each mother perfectly, even if we don't know it yet.
